At the 2014 Annual Banquet of the Historical Society, the guest speaker was the Rev. Alfred T. (Fred) Day, III, senior pastor of the Historic St. George’s UMC in Philadelphia. Only a week after his three-day visit to Arkansas,
the UM General Commission on Archives and History announced
that Rev. Day had been unanimously elected
by the Commission to be its next general secretary.
By his witness we were drawn into a closer walk as disciples of Jesus Christ.
